History
Established in 1960, the Practice was formed by Reginald Gale, who qualified as the youngest architect in the country. Nigel Gale (Reginald’s son) joined in 1992. Reginald Gale retired in 1996.
Robert Cocker joined RGP Architects Ltd in 1999 as Associate having previously been a key member of Barnstaple architectural practice: Friend, Kelly & Friend for 31 years. Darrel Gill rejoined the Practice in 2006 as Senior Architectural Technician having previously worked in the Practice between 1993 to 1998, leaving to take a temporary break from Architecture.
The Practice recognises the importance of progression and as such are committed to the strategic development of the Practice, including working towards their Investors in People award. Recent years have seen major investment in the resources of information technology and specialist staff to keep the Practice at the forefront of Architectural Services available in the region.
RGP Architects Ltd moved to purpose built offices in Median House, Roundswell, in 2006 and the Practice became a Ltd Company in 2008.
